Keeping map members engaged is as simple as helping them find what they want, when they want it. You can help them quickly discover steps on your map by adding tags, which they can use to filter for the content they want.
The easier it is for map members to find what they’re looking for, the more they’ll be back to discover more in the future. ⚡
How do I do it?
Step 1: Create a map
Use Steps to create a map of all the places you want to share with your followers. Whether it’s places you’ve been and loved or ones you want to visit, you can make a map of anything.
Step 2: Add tags and categories
Tags can be added to places to help your members filter and find the content they're looking for.
Tags are arranged by categories so you can add a "Harlem" tag to the "Neighborhood" category.
See a great example of how to use tags in the “Food Trucks NYC” map.👇
The best tags are ones that are unique to your community and map.
Maps with lots of tags attract more followers and help people navigate your steps. The best part is that you can have as many categories and tags as you would like. Go wild!
Map members will love being able to filter their search according to their interests.
How do I create tags?
In your Map Manager dashboard, go to Map Settings ➡️ Components ➡️ Tags.
From there you can start adding the right tags to filter steps on your map, and help your followers explore and enjoy!
