Boost your Steps Experience with Instagram

When you’ve already got great content on Instagram about the places you’ve been to, you can add it to your Steps group without having to start from scratch. Win!

Your followers already trust your judgment and appreciate your insights about where to go. By adding your Instagram content on Steps, you give them an easy way to find exactly what they’re looking for within seconds. Goodbye endless feed scrolling!

With that in mind, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to leverage the time and effort you’ve already spent creating your Instagram content. Introducing: the Steps Import tool.

Ready to add your content to your Steps group in just a few clicks? Let’s do it!

Step 1: Visit your Steps group on the web

Use your desktop to log into your Steps group. (Haven’t been there yet? Log in here using the same credentials you used in the app.) Once there, select the Import tab on the left hand side of the page and then select Instagram from the Import drop-down menu.

Step 2: Connect Instagram to Steps

Securely connect your Instagram account to Steps to get the import process started. Rest assured, you always have full control over your posts! (Important note! Your Instagram profile must be set to “Public” in order to connect it with your Steps map.)

Step 3: Review & publish your new steps

After your Instagram posts have been imported, you’ll find them listed under Pending Steps in the Import screen. Now’s the time to review the posts you’ve imported, make any desired updates (like adding tags!), and then publish your new places into your Steps map.

Need some inspo? We hear you. Check out the Space Coast Foodies map and London Local Gems, two of the many amazing groups that have leveraged the import feature to boost their followers' experience with just a few clicks.
